Unruly defendant sentenced to 50 years

FORT WORTH, Texas-After yelling at the jury and causing so much commotion that he had to be removed, a Fort Worth man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for attempted capital murder in the shooting of a woman he stalked.

Authorities say Finnis Davis II became obsessed with Saudi Taylor and repeatedly called and texted her.

He was waiting in her driveway when she returned from a first date with Oscar Roney on May 4, 2010.

Taylor was shot in the leg, and Roney was hit behind the ear. Both survived.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that Davis was so unruly in the courtroom that he had to be removed several times during the trial and was forced to wear a shock strap around his leg.
