TEXARKANA, Texas -- Texarkana Water Utilities has issued a boil water notice for residences on a pair of city streets.
Because of a loss of pressure, people who live on Ashley Street and Handley Street, south of Post Street, should boil their water prior to consumption, TWU said in a news release.
"To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes," the release stated.
TWU will notify affected customers when it is no longer to boil their water.
