TEXARKANA, Texas -- Smoke in the air that many residents have noticed over the past couple of days is no cause for alarm, according to Texarkana Texas Police Department.
A controlled burn near U.S> Highway 82 in the Leary area is the cause, the department said in a Facebook post.
"A lot of people have been calling 911 thinking that something in their neighborhood is on fire. No need to call 911 to report it," the post stated.
