LAST WEEK: Liberty-Eylau torched North Lamar 56-0 to open District 8-4A, Division II.

THIS WEEK: The Leopards travel to Longview to play Spring Hill.

Hampton threw for 88 yards and two scores on 5-of-10 passing, Ian Jones hauled in two catches for 65 yards and a visit to the end-zone and Cal Jones ran for two TDs.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS: Wyatt Clepper and Courtland Crabtree each recovered a fumble, and Chris Lewis picked off a Panther pass. Peyton Page added a sack. Crabtree led the Leopard defense with six tackles.

COACH DEWASKI DAVIS: "Offensively, we started to run the ball downhill and made some big runs. We also made some big throws. Defensively, they just played hard, and the coaches had them all ready to play. They just get after it. Those kids love getting after it. And it's really fun to watch them play at the tempo we play. They played really physical.

"We've gotta keep taking care of the football. We preach that all the time. We did a good job (Friday), and we've done a pretty good job of it throughout the course of the season. And we've got to fix the little things, while will lead into bigger things. So, we've just got to keep focus and go one game at a time."
