COACH GERRY STANFORD'S COMMENTS: "We wanted to come out and establish a strong run game against Marshall, and we came out in the first half and ran the ball effectively. The turnovers paid off for us with some short fields, and we'll take that as a win.

"The biggest thing on the backside was we were able to get pressure up front, as well. The pressure up front forces the play, and everything gets a little easier on the back end. We played very complementary defense."
