American Cancer Society needs volunteers for its Road to Recovery program which provides transportation for cancer patients to their appointments. Mileage reimbursement is available. American Red Cross needs welcome team volunteers at the Texarkana office who can work 4 hour shifts at least one day each week greeting and directing visitors, answering the phone and assisting with filing. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), a non-profit organization, is in need of volunteers to help the abused and neglected children in an 8 county area in Texas and Arkansas. CASA volunteers speak up for a child in court, they are the voice that makes a difference in a child's life. Volunteers get to know the children and everyone who is involved with the child. Domestic Violence Prevention Inc. needs caring and empathetic individuals to work the hotline and at the Battered Women's Shelter, administrative office, Resale Shop and outreach offices.
