TEXARKANA, Texas -- Ritz D'Bento Japanese Steakhouse is preparing to open.
Located on New Boston Road in the former Panda's, the new place will offer Japanese cuisine of the Ashan style of cooking, as well as American-style steaks.
"Ashan refers to Japanese-style hibachi barbecue," said Ricky Ted, manager of Ritz D'Bento. "We will have a hibachi here in the restaurant."
The look of the new restaurant is also said to be in the Ashan style.
"We expected to be open sooner," said Ted, who said the refurbishment has been under way for a few years, it just has been delayed by various things out of their control.
"But if things finally proceed according to plan, we will be open in May."
