MARSHALL, Texas -- Pleasant Grove opened up pool play in the Marshall High School varsity tournament with two wins at Maverick Gym on Thursday.
Reese Gibbs served in 11 points and Adi Koller put down 7 kills to lead the Lady Hawks to a 25-10, 25-10 victory over Rusk.
Rylie Williams slapped in 17 service points and Pleasant Grove defeated Hughes Springs, 25-11, 25-14.
The Hawks play Redwater today at 11 a.m. back at Maverick Gym.
