TEXARKANA, Texas --More than 100 senior adults were treated to lunch and Christmas cheer at the Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department's Senior Day Out event at Southwest Center.
Music, dancing, bingo, health screenings, door prizes and other activities kept everyone busy.
"We have had a really good turnout. Everyone seems to be having a good time," said Gertrude Abby with the Collins Senior Center. The Collins Senior Center is operated by the Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation Department.
Santa Claus himself passed out candy and emceed a question game where seniors won prizes for being the eldest person attending or being the longest married couple attending. Another person won a prize for driving the oldest car.
Anyone who donated a pair of socks received one extra door prize entry.
