NEW BOSTON, Texas -- Two Bowie County residents who serve on the North-East Texas Regional Mobility Authority Board of Directors, will get to stay there another year.

Bowie County Commissioners voted Monday to re-appoint Andrea Williams McCoy and Cory J. Floyd to the NET-RMA Board of Directors, each for a one-year term.

In other business, Commissioners approved a lease agreement with the TexAmericas Center that would allow for the county to use an off site bunker to store emergency election equipment.

Commissioners also approved a proclamation recognizing the DeKalb Future Farmers of America organization for it's youth leadership in developing classroom instructions in basic leadership skills, as well as future career development focusing on farming.

Precinct 4 Commissioner James Strain offered high praise for the young FFA members.

"If it wasn't for these young men and women, we wouldn't have a future," he said.
