TEXARKANA, Ark. -- A Nashville, Arkansas, man was killed early Monday while attempting to cross Interstate 49.
The victim, who has been identified as Justin Clay Byers, 34, was pronounced dead at Wadley Hospital, according a preliminary fatality report from the Arkansas State Police.
The accident happened at 1:26 a.m., Monday at the 32 mile marker of I-49, according to the report. Investigators believe Byers was attempting to cross when he was struck by a northbound 2012 Buick Regal driven by a Texarkana, Arkansas, man.
The accident remains under investigation.
