TEXARKANA -- Texarkana's chamber of commerce met via Zoom for their January meeting, just touching on some essential plans and changes.
Due to ongoing circumstances, the State of City and Joint City Meeting is postponed, to be rescheduled and announced later.
Chamber meetings will also be held virtually in February.
The chamber's annual celebration is still going forward, and will take place face-to-face, but has been rescheduled to April 8. The Women in Business gathering, right now, is being planned for March, exact date to be announced.
Vance Liles, new Economic Development Council chair, says that organization's first meeting will be in February, while their first manufacturing partnership meeting will be Feb. 22.
"We are excited to kick off our manufacturing partnership," he said.
In addition, the Chamber has scheduled its Pitch It Texarkana! entrepreneurial competition on March 31 at Crossties. Doors open at 5 pm.
