Shooting suspect now faces additional charges

TEXARKANA, Texas -- The suspect in the Jan. 21 shooting at the Sunset Apartments is now facing additional charges.

Alfred Reynolds was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Texarkana Texas Police Department. Reynolds now faces three counts of deadly conduct, said Shawn Vaughn, spokesman for TTPD. His total bond for the charges is $450,000 and he remains in the Bi-State jail.

Reynolds is suspected of shooting a man in the face.

Police received a call about 3:30 p.m. Friday about a man who had been shot at Sunset Apartments in the 1600 block of Allen Lane.

The 31-year-old victim had been shot once in the face, but his injuries were later determined to be non-life threatening. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, according to TTPD.

The victim was sitting in a car with his wife and two small children when Reynolds allegedly approached the driver's side of the vehicle. He allegedly fired multiple shots into the vehicle, one of which struck the victim.
