Junior Razorbacks get past Junior Bulldogs

TEXARKANA, Texas -- In what looked like a one-sided affair from the first inning on, the American legion Junior Razorbacks got out to an early lead Wednesday night against their cross town rival Junior Bulldogs and never looked back.

Strong pitching for most of the contest by the Razorbacks, along with plenty of offense, led to a 9-6 victory.

Trey White was the winning pitcher, throwing four innings of 1-hit baseball for the Razorbacks while only surrendering two runs during his outing.

Daylon Standokes and Brody Johnson split the remaining five innings of relief to help the Razorbacks secure the win.

The Bulldogs' only big inning came in the sixth when they pushed four runs across, highlighted by an RBI triple from Brennan Allred, an RBI double from Britain Pipes, as well as singles from Quinton Singletary, Ty Boozer, Jaxon Minter, and Tyler Prinsen.

Allen Cartwright, who was the first of five pitchers used by the Bulldogs, was the losing pitcher.

Camden Gamble led the way at the plate for the Razorbacks going 3 for 5 with two singles, a double, and 3 RBI. Lane Jeane, Reece Bruner, Jack Walters, all had multiple hits, while Brody Johnson contributed a single.
