Bail set for stabbing suspect

TEXARKANA, Texas --Bail was set Tuesday morning for Shaun Paxton, who has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his parents early Father's Day morning.

Bail was set at $1 million for the murder charge and $250,000 for the aggravated assault charge, according to Texarkana Texas Police.

His mother is still in critical condition at CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital.

Paxton, 42, was arrested early Sunday for allegedly stabbing his mother and his father Michael Paxton, 65, in their home. Michael Paxton died at the scene.

Detectives are still working to determine a motive.
