Master Gardeners host garden walk, classes Saturday

Whippoorwill Gardens, between Atlanta and Douglassville, will have its 5th annual Walk in the Garden one-day learning and gardening experience Saturday beginning 8:30 a.m.

Presented by Cass County Master Gardeners, four classes and lunch will be offered. A scavenger hunt, door prizes, plant sale and vendors are also on the activities list.

The classes are:

n "Creating a Bluebird Habitat" with Keith Kridler at 9:30 a.m.

n "Native Bees" with Larry Brown at 10 a.m.

n "Container Gardening Hacks" with Aaron Harding at 11 a.m.

n "Honey Bees Swarm Capture" with Jessica Rymel at 1:15 p.m.

Lunch will be at 12 p.m.

Tours of the grounds as designed and maintained by Cass County Master Gardeners will be conducted. Cost of the spring seminar is $20

Tickets are available at the door beginning at 8:30 a.m. Tickets may also be obtained by calling Aaron Harding at 903-306-8696

Whippoorwill Gardens is located at 5024 Farm to Market 2328 in Cass County between Atlanta and Douglassville. Direction signs will be placed along the route.
