by Josh Richert | May 20, 2022 at 4:00 a.m.

BENTON, Ark. -- Nashville rides a 13-game win streak into today's Class 4A state softball championship game against Valley View.

The state final is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Benton Sportsplex.

The Scrapperettes (26-4) were a state semifinalist a season ago, and senior pitcher Maci McJunkins twirled a no-hitter in a 10-0 semifinal win over Stuttgart last Saturday. McJunkins, a signee with Southern Arkansas University, struck out 11 in the game.

Nashville backed the hurler with 13 hits of their own.

The lineup includes Ashley Chambers, Mattison Steele, Ellen Spigner, Emma Hutchison, McJunkins, Jasmine Wakefield, Eva Reeder, Emalea Bailey and Harleigh Hill.
