TEXARKANA, Texas-- It's t-minus 30 days until Christmas and local businesses already have holiday displays out for those early birds.

The Twin Cities is home to several businesses that offer unique goods that can't be found anywhere else. When you start shopping for your loved ones, maybe consider perusing through one of Texarkana's local shops.

Persnickety Too is sure to have the floral embellishments that your home or business will need to have a bit more holiday cheer. Owner Carrie Atkinson is a floral legacy, following in her mother's footsteps, while also teaching her own children the art of arranging blooms.

"There's going to be centerpieces, we always do fresh wreaths that can be custom-designed," Atkinson said. "We have a couple of cute bedside table arrangements; one is called 'Merry and Bright', another is 'Peppermint Cocoa.'"

Atkinson said that she will also have fresh greenery available for garlands.

Texarkana finds itself attracting new businesses and recently welcomed the arrival of Buff City Soap and Apricot Lane Boutique.

"This weekend, everything will be 20% off until Monday," said sales representative Christie Brito. "Laundry will be buy one, get one half off; then on Tuesday we have four for $20. That is four bars of soap, four bath bombs, four shower fizzies, or four bath truffles for $20."

The store boasts of many scents but has three new soap scents themed for the upcoming holiday season: Frosted Fir, Apple Spice and Holly Days.

Texarkana's newest boutique Apricot Lane started Black Friday earlier this year with their own "Apricot Tuesday," where all products in the store were 25% off.

"It was a hit so we plan to repeat "Apricot Tuesday" every year the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to help you start your holiday shopping early," said store owner Melissa Raney Martin. "We will continue to offer 25% of the entire store for Black Friday."

According to Martin, the boutique prides itself on its partnership with organization Noble Venture and selling its bracelets. The organization works to support survivors of human trafficking and makers in at-risk communities by giving them jobs and hope for the future.

Martin said she encourages Texarkana's fashion fiends to follow the boutique's social media pages to get t0-the-minute updates about the latest trends and sales.

Locally made beauty and health good establishment Lavender Thorne will be participating in Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

"We have several gift sets for body, hair and home and also take orders for large Christmas gifts," said Cassidy Lavender and Jordan Thornton, co-owners of the business.
