Redwater marches away with grand prize at band contest

TEXARKANA, Texas -- Redwater High School walked away as the grand champion Saturday at the Four States Marching Contest.

Queen City took second place and Pleasant Grove third. Pleasant Grove also was named outstanding color guard and outstanding percussion.

The victory was an improvement on the Dragons' finish at the Sept. 24 band invitational at Pleasant Grove High School, where Redwater came in second.

About 20 bands took the field at Tiger Park at Grim Stadium for the annual contest.

The other top 10 bands in order were Liberty-Eylau, Hooks, Prairiland, Benton, Clarksville, Tatum and Arkansas High.
