Arkansas High’s Waid hits grand slam in Sticks’ win in Florida

JUPITER, Fla.-- 3n2 Sticks Baseball Brewster/White Sox Scout Team won both its games Wednesday in the Perfect Game WWBA Tournament.

Sticks Baseball,, based in Texarkana, beat the San Diego California Show, 8-4. Ty Waid, an Arkansas High standout, was 2 for 2 with a grand slam and a double. Brenton Clark also singled. Mack Marbly was the winning pitcher.

Sticks Baseball also won its second game, 8-0, over the Rawlings National Scout Team. Ty Waid again was 2 for 2, Kale Fountain and MJ Seo both belted home runs and Tripp Landers hit a triple. Jake Middleton was the winning pitcher.

Sticks Baseball takes on the Toronto Blue Jays Scout Team at 1:40 p.m. today at Roger Dean Stadium. You can watch online at www.perfectgame.tv, according to Sticks Baseball owner/manager Chase Brewster.
