TEXARKANA, Texas -- Professionals can bring their pooches to a networking event next week.

The Greater Texarkana Young Professionals will host Woof and Waggy Doggy Brunch at Redbone Magic Brewing.

The doggy brunch is a laid back event, intended to provide an opportunity for people to converse with others who may not be in the same field of work or their regular social circles. This year's is the second, and like last year, the event is free for GTYP members and non-members alike.

"It's a good time for people who are not members to come out to the social and see what GTYP is all about," said Heather Buster, GTYP board member and this year's event organizer. "Even if you don't have a pet, still come out. If you do have a pet, make sure they are comfortable around people."

(Woof and Waggy Doggy Brunch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. Redbone Magic Brewing is at 1304 Texas Blvd. For more information, find Greater Texarkana Young Professionals on Facebook.)
