Movies in the Park to feature adventure, comedy, horror

TEXARKANA, Texas -- Three films are scheduled for this fall's Movies in the Park series, which begins Oct. 13.

The city Parks and Recreation Department will screen "The Lost City," "Hocus Pocus" and "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" near the airplane in Spring Lake Park.

All screenings are free of charge and will begin at dusk. Concessions will be available.

Oct. 13 -- "The Lost City"

2022. PG-13. Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe.

A reclusive romance novelist on a book tour with her cover model gets swept up in a kidnapping attempt that lands them both in a cutthroat jungle adventure.

Oct. 20 -- "Hocus Pocus"

Oct. 27 -- "The Town That Dreaded Sundown"

1976. R. Ben Johnson, Andrew Prine, Dawn Wells. Loosely based on the true story of the Phantom Killer. In 1946, a Texas Ranger hunts for a hooded serial killer terrorizing the residents of Texarkana.
