TEXARKANA, Texas -- At least 23 clinics, workforce organizations, veteran centers, hospices, veterans counselors and resource centers are expected to participate in the 26th annual Veterans Information Fair next month.
The four-hour fair hosted by local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 278 will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 20 at the Elks Lodge, 3702 New Boston Road.
As in years past, participants will include the Texarkana VA Clinic; the Texas Veterans Commission; the Texas and Arkansas Workforce agencies, representatives from the VA hospitals in Shreveport and Little Rock; the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs; Social Security Administration; Texarkana Funeral Home; and local veterans service officers.
Other participants include East Funeral Home; Humana; Hospice of Texarkana; American Red Cross; Lone Star Legal Aid; veterans counselors from Texarkana College and Texas A&M University-Texarkana; representatives from the Area Agency on Aging offices; Dierksen Hospice; Northeast Texas Veterans Resource Center; Home Depot; and Guardian Health Care.
The fair is free to all veterans, including those still serving, as well as those in the military reserves and National Guard.
