Prep Basketball: Little Rock Christian routs Lufkin to tip off Hoopfest

TEXARKANA, Texas -- Defending Class 4A state champion Little Rock Christian Academy scored 38 points in the first half while holding Lufkin to 11 en route to a 73-41 victory to tip off the Red River Hoopfest on Friday night at the Tiger Center.

Landren Blocker scorched the nets for a game-high 22 points, while teammate JJ Andrews scored 20 and came down with 12 rebounds in the win. Jameel Wesley added 14 points.

Austin Brown led the East Texas team with 17 points.
