HOOKS, Texas -- Hooks Police are attempting to negotiate with a man who has barricaded himself in a house on Spur 594 after threatening Southwestern Electric Power Co. workers.
Police were notified of the threat Friday morning and mobilized to block the road, which leads into Red River Army Depot.
The man's identity was not immediately available.
The SWEPCO vehicles remain on site, including a raised bucket truck.
Bowie County Sheriff's Office and Texas Department of Transportation are assisting.
