STAMPS, Ark. — A vehicle allegedly involved in a fatal hit and run accident has been located.

The vehicle was found Monday, according to the Arkansas State Police. No other information on the discovery was immediately released.

Earlier, ASP issued a news release asking for the public’s help in gathering information on a hit and run pedestrian fatality that occurred March 9 in Lafayette County.

The incident happened shortly after 5 a.m. on U.S. Highway 82, just west of Stamps, according to an ASP report.

Joseph Miller, 85, of Springhill, Louisiana, was visiting family in Arkansas and was killed when he was struck by a vehicle, according to the report. Miller was walking in the eastbound lane of traffic when he was struck. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators released information on a 2006-2007 silver Toyota RAV4 that had likely sustained significant damage to the front passenger (right) side.

Anyone with information on the incident or the vehicle's owner should contact ASP Troop G Dispatch at 870-777-4641.
