TEXARKANA, Texas — Pleasant Grove boys and Texas High girls golf teams claimed the top spots of the Rick Rogers Memorial PG Classic at Northridge Country Club this week.
Pleasant Grove shot a team score of 350 — six shots ahead of second-place Texas High — with Landon Prejean leading the Hawks with an overall score of 80.
Texas High's Will Davis shot a tournament low 78.
Junior Power finished with an 84 for the Hawks, while teammates Saxton Lawrence (89), Corbyn Spry (97) and Gavin Escamilla (121) rounded out the winning efforts.
Behind Davis for Texas High was, Kaiden Neeley (85), Gavin Smith (96), Austin Williams (97) and Brice Ervin (99).
On the girls side, Texas High was the only team to shoot an overall team score of sub-500, and did it with ease with 423. Bloomburg came in second with 500.
Gracie Tucker shot the second lowest score with a 100, followed by Lady Tiger teammates Kelsie Harvey (105), Emma Burks (108), Lorelai Smith (110), and Kyliegh Watt (119).
Morgan Formes, who was an individual representing Pleasant Grove, shot 96 to become first-place medalist.
Liberty-Eylau's girls placed third with a team total of 518. Marin Bryant led the Lady Leopards' charge with 119.
