Reward offered in search for suspect in Christmas homicide

TEXARKANA, Ark. -- Police are asking the public's assistance in locating Tarus Melek Walker in connection with a Christmas Day homicide.

Walker, 24, is wanted on a warrant for capital murder charge in the death of Aaron Bruce, 40. Walker is also wanted on a charge of possession of a firearm by certain person.

He is considered armed and extremely dangerous, according to the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of Walker. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 903-792-STOP (7867) or TAPD at 903-798-3154

Callers will remain anonymous.

The shooting happened at 9:50 a.m. Dec. 25, 2022, at 2511 E. 24th St.

Walker's last known address was on Dudley Street in Texarkana, Arkansas. He is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds.

Another suspect in Bruce's death was arrested Dec. 27. Nathaniel James Fort, 20, is also facing a capital murder charge. He is being held in the Miller County Detention Center.
