WASHINGTON, Ark. -- Hundreds of guests braved the chilly air to enjoy food, exhibitions and music Friday, March 17 on the first day of the annual Jonquil Festival at Old Washington State Park.

Park volunteers dressed in period clothing from Washington's heyday offered carriage rides and demonstrations to visitors who filed in and out of the parks historic buildings.

The festival continues through Sunday, March. 19.
