Spring Cleaning at Washington

We Are Washington volunteer Jennifer Dickson asks children attending the nonprofit's spring break camp what hygiene means Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the center. Princess, left, raises her hand to answer a question, as Brailyn looks on. Taniyah, not pictured, responded, "Hygiene is keeping your body clean." Earlier in the week, We Are Washington debuted its hygiene closet, which is filled with items such as soaps, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpastes and feminine care products. Visitors can purchase the items with Washington bucks — the organization's currency for kindness. (Staff photo by Mallory Wyatt)
