TEXARKANA, Ark. -- Police are searching for a suspect who ran during a traffic stop Friday morning.
Escuadrra Ezequiel Duran, 29, was last seen running north of Interstate 30 in the area of Trinity Church and a nearby convenience store, according to police.
Arkansas State Police stopped a vehicle at 10 a.m. at mile marker 2 near the airport exit on I-30, ASP Troop G Capt. Brady Gore said.
The driver did not have proper identification, Gore said. However, based on a fingerprint scan, the trooper determined the driver had given him a fictitious name and that his real name is Duran.
When the trooper attempted to make an arrest, Duran allegedly put up a fight before fleeing.
"He resisted arrest, had a physical altercation," Gore said.
The trooper was not injured.
Duran was last seen wearing a red polo shirt and black athletic shorts. He is wanted on charges of resisting arrest and fleeing.
Anyone who knows Duran's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or ASP Troop G at 870-777-4641.
Several law enforcement agencies are involved in the search.
