Man arrested in Miller County after Cass County pursuit

TEXARKANA, Ark. -- A man is being held in the Miller County jail after a pursuit Monday that started in Cass County, Texas.

Anthony Harris was arrested on a charge of fleeing. He also had multiple felony warrants out of several jurisdictions, according to the Miller County Sheriff's Office.

At 8:30 p.m. Monday, deputies were notified that the Cass County Sheriff's Office was requesting assistance with a suspect who fled in a vehicle and then on foot and entered into Miller County. Deputies responded to the area to assist.

In a coordinated effort with CCSO, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Game and Fish Department, volunteer fire departments from Cass and Miller counties, private citizens, and Telford Unit tracking dogs and handlers, the suspect was apprehended near Miller County Road 107.

Harris was arrested and transported to the Miller County jail, where warrants were served on him. A hold was placed on him for Cass County.
