ExxonMobil to tap Southwest Arkansas lithium for EV batteries

TEXARKANA, Ark. -- Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders joined ExxonMobil Corp. on Monday in announcing the company's plans to drill for lithium in Southwest Arkansas.

Earlier this year, ExxonMobil acquired mineral rights and leases to 120,000 gross acres in Union, Columbia, Lafayette and Miller counties.
