EDITORIAL/Live United: College bowl game marks 10 years in Twin Cities

Are you ready for some college football? Right here in Texarkana?

Then get ready for the Farmers Bank & Trust Live United Bowl between the Missouri Western Griffons and the Southern Arkansas University Muleriders.

It's the 10th Anniversary Game and kickoff will be at noon on Saturday at Arkansas High School's Razorback Stadium. But you can get in on the festivities a bit earlier.

The teams will arrive in town today and there will be a community event benefitting Harvest Regional Food Bank from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm at the Holiday Inn Arkansas Convention Center.

On Friday, the teams will be visiting the Runnin' WJ Ranch, Opportunities Inc., Haven Home and the new TASD Middle School and charities, before a banquet and community pep rally at the Texas-side convention center. The banquet begins at 6 pm with the pep rally starting at 8 p.m.

And then the big game on Saturday. Tickets are $10 for adults, $4 for students.

And if you can't attend in person, you can livestream the game for just $9.99 with proceeds benefitting United Way of Greater Texarkana.
