TEXARKANA, Texas -- Texas High's varsity tennis hosted district rival Whitehouse and pulled out a 10-1 victory on Tuesday night.
"The team really stepped up," Texas High coach Toby Watson said. "A great follow-up to the Lindale victory on Saturday."
Texas High will host Arkansas High on Tuesday, with matches set to begin at 4 p.m.
Boys Doubles
Suelzer/Shuffield won 6-1, 5-7, 10-1; Miller/Luna won 6-1, 6-1; Baird/Soyars won 7-5, 6-1; and McCarter/Prewitt won 8-1
Girls Doubles
Floyd/Wilson won 6-3, 6-2; Coleman/Shelton lost 4-6, 6-3, 13-11; and Henry/Ballard won 6-3, 6-4
Mixed Doubles
Currie/Thomson won 6-4, 6-3; and Boyette/Cowan won 9-7
Boys Singles
Zain Suelzer won 6-2, 6-2; Adam McCarter won 6-1, 6-2; Carter Shuffield won 6-0, 6-1; and Alan Miller won 6-2, 6-2
Girls Singles
Grace Wilson won 6-1, 6-1
