CLARKSVILLE, Texas — Queen City concluded its non-district season with a convincing 62-0 victory over the Clarksville on Friday night at New Century Club Field.
Queen City (3-1) was led by junior quarterback Hunter Parker, who set two school records — most consecutive completions in a game and passing yards. He finished with 357 yards and four touchdowns on 13-of-13 passing. He also rushed for a touchdown and two-point conversion in the win.
In the one-sided affair, the Bulldogs scored the only points it would need early in the first quarter when Parker rushed in from 2 yards out. After a two-point conversion, they took the 8-0 lead.
Three minutes later, Parker found Kaleb Francisco on a 70-yard pass to make it 14-0. Shortly after, Parker hit Lathan Chamblee on a 19-yard strike end the first quarter, 20-0.
The second quarter was more of the same, with Jason Joffray finding pay dirt on a 4-yard run, Christian Nard a 1-yard score and Rylee Green connecting with Parker on a 63-yard touchdown grab.
Queen City scored once in the third quarter on a Parker-to-Francisco pass from 22 yards out to take a 47-0 lead.
The Bulldogs extended their advanage to 62-0 in the fourth quarter after Ke'idie Harrison scored on a 12-yard rush and T.J. Guest returned a 31-yard fumble back to the house.
Queen City had 445 total yards and 20 first downs in the victory.
The Bulldogs will begin district play at home against Elysian Fields on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
