TEXARKANA, Texas -- Police continue to seek information on a man accused of killing a woman Sept. 13.
Rodney Lindley, 40, is wanted on a warrant for murder in the death of Mercedes Young, 32, of Texarkana, Texas. Young's death is the first homicide of 2023 in Texarkana, Texas.
Young died at a local hospital after being shot at a house in the 3800 block of Alexander Avenue.
After receiving reports of a disturbance and shots fired, officers discovered Young with a gunshot wound.
Investigators have yet to release additional information in the case, including Lindley's connection to the mother of the children Young was watching and why he was at the house.
