TEXARKANA, Texas -- The city Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled a slate of autumn activities at Spring Lake Park.
The department will screen three films free of charge as part of its onogoing Movies in the Park series, and the annual Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat are also on the calendar.
The festival will take place 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. The event will include bounce houses, costume contests with different age ranges, a pet costume contest, face painting, hay rides and more, according to Parks and Rec.
Trunk or Treat is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, in the park's large open field opposite the Rotary Splash Pad.
Movies in the Park will begin Thursday, Oct. 12, and continue after the Fall Festival on Oct. 19 and on Oct. 26. All screenings are free of charge and will begin at dusk. Concessions will be available.
