A crew with Aleman Construction pours and finishes concrete for the foundation of a house being constructed at 220 E. Broad St. in downtown Texarkana, Ark. The 1,814-square-foot house will be the primary residence of George Dodson, a co-owner of nearby Hopkins Icehouse. The project, which is expected to be completed by the fall, appears to be the first residence constructed on Broad Street from the ground up. “This one is really unique — being residential in downtown Texarkana and working with all of the existing structures,” said project superintendent Allen McNatt of Rogers Equipment and Construction. The concrete was supplied by SRM Concrete and pumped by Unruh Concrete Pumping. (Staff photo by Stevon Gamble)
