Body of woman found in home of man fatally shot by trooper

LITTLE ROCK - A woman's body has been found inside the home lived in by a man who was fatally shot by a state trooper last weekend, according to Little Rock police.

The body of Shavone Deshia Williams, 40, was found Sunday under a pile of clothes in the home where Aloysius Keaton Sr., 58, had lived. The death is believed to be a homicide, police Officer Eric Barnes said in a statement Wednesday.

A suspected cause of Williams' death has not been released.

State police say Keaton was fatally shot Saturday night by state police Sgt. Marcus Daniels after police say crashing a stolen taxicab on an interstate off-ramp, stabbing an Arkansas Highway Police officer, then approached the trooper with the weapon.

State police said Daniels first used a stun gun, which failed to stop Keaton who refused orders to drop the weapon.

The highway patrol officer was treated and released at a hospital and Daniels, who was placed on paid leave pending an investigation into the shooting, was not injured, state police said.
