7-Eleven to hire 20,000 to meet coronavirus demand

Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven said Friday that it expects to hire as many as 20,000 workers to help meet the rising demand from customers during the coronavirus pandemic.

"7-Eleven is a neighborhood store, and it's our priority to serve the communities in which we operate during this unprecedented crisis," 7-Eleven president and CEO Joe DePinto said in a statement.

"Between 7-Eleven Inc. and our franchised business owners, we expect as many as 20,000 store employees to be hired in the coming months. This will provide job opportunities and ensure 7-Eleven stores remain clean and in stock with the goods our customers need during this critical time."

The convenience store chain is hiring for its storefronts and mobile ordering service. It's encouraging people who wish to apply to visit careers.7-Eleven.com or inquire about job opportunities at their local stores.
