Sevier County adds 8 new COVID-19 cases

Bowie County's positive COVID-19 cases rose by two on Wednesday, according to the Bowie County Emergency Operations Center. The operations center reported a total of 238 positive COVID-19 cases, with 119 recoveries and 16 related deaths.

Cass County has a total of 35 cases with 31 recoveries, and two deaths.

Residents are urged to continue following Gov. Greg Abbott's Executive Orders and CDC guidelines for social distancing, handwashing and sanitizing.

Elsewhere in Northeast Texas, Titus County added two cases to reach 665 cases, Morris County added two cases to reach 37 and Red River County continued to hold at 99 cases, according to the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

Case counts in most Southwest Arkansas counties Wednesday all increased from the previous day, according to the Arkansas Department of Health.

Miller County cases increased by three to 97 cases, Sevier County increased from 606 to 614, Little River increased by one to 37 and Lafayette County increased by one to 14.

Pike County held at seven cases, Hempstead County at 46, Howard at 70 and Nevada at 95.

Caddo Parish in Northwest Louisiana added 42 cases to reach 1,995, and Bossier Parrish added 33 cases to reach 720.

Statewide, Arkansas reported cumulative cases with deaths, Louisiana reported 52,477 cases with 3,039 deaths and Texas reported 125,921 cases with 2,249 deaths.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 2,336,615 total cases so far in the U.S., with a national death toll of 121,117.
