A virtual "NOT The-Watermelon-Festival-Concert" concert is Saturday, live from Hempstead Hall Amphitheater. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. with the "Watermelon Idol" competition, with the winner performing their act. Entry is limited to 20 acts, first come, first served, with cash prizes for first, second and third place. No previous winners are allowed to enter. Only performers are allowed on the campus, with performers under the age of 18 allowed one parent/guardian to accompany, and masks must be worn when not performing. Magic Springs Theme & Water Park, Hot Springs, Ark., is now open on weekends until Labor Day, featuring Cooler Sundays, where guests can bring a cooler packed with food and drink into the park, minus alcoholic beverages or glass containers. Texarkana College has announced music classes in the Flex Campus format, combining face-to-face and online course delivery. The fall semester begins Wednesday with music merit funds available to some students.
