From now to Dec. 31, The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden celebrate the holidays with classic tradition and a new magical exhibition during Holiday at the Arboretum. Twelve Days of Christmas, which depicts each day in the beloved carol with 12 Victorian-style gazebos, returns. Guests can see them during the day or lit up at night, with more than one million lights adorning the garden and the 30-foot-tall spruce tree. The 36th Annual Celebration of Lights at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas, promises holiday cheer with joyful displays, festive food and song and free photos with Santa. Award-winning a capella sextet "m-pact" headlines this year's holiday show at Hempstead Hall on the University of Arkansas-Hope campus. Tickets ($30-$40) are on sale now at hempsteadhall.com. M-pact has performed with pop superstars Sheryl Crow, Boyz II Men, Kenny G, Liza Minnelli, Babyface, Rick Springfield and Jackson Browne to name a few. Texarkana College's Truman Arnold Student Center hosts Operation Stand Down For Veterans from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2500 N. Robison Road. The program aims to help local homeless veterans. Texarkana Area Veterans Council estimates as many as 15 homeless veterans are living on the streets here. The program focuses on Veterans Administration services and benefits, as well as on housing information, community resources, employment aid and education. The Ozark Mountain Music Festival, better known as OzMoMu20, will return Jan. 16-20 to downtown Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This five-day/four-night winter festival is best known for its upbeat and infectious Americana Roots music and laid-back vibe.
