So many families face the same question every day: What are we doing today? Children are finding themselves with little do during this historic pandemic.

C.R.E.W. Poker Tournament
Cards were flipping and chips were flying as supporters of Make-A-Wish Foundation gathered to play some friendly hands of poker Saturday night in North Little Rock. Hosted by the young professionals group C.R.E.W., the party-goers munched on burgers and hot dogs while hoping they'd get the lucky handful of hearts. One winner walked away with the envied prize of a 5-week bootcamp.
Creative local moms, however, are designing experiences for their children to make this time, despite social distancing, fun.
My daughter, Sophie, and I, for example, had so much fun "painting" with washable markers. All we needed was a sheet of regular or watercolor paper, washable markers, a Ziploc bag, and a mixture of water and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle.
First place the paper on a safe surface, then place the Ziploc bag on top of it. Use the markers to color on top of the Ziploc bag. When finished, spray the rubbing alcohol mixture onto the Ziploc bag.
The colors will start to run together. Once it is all wet, flip the Ziploc bag over and press down on the paper. This allows the kids to push the "paint" around on the paper. When finished, pull up the Ziploc bag and use a paper towel to soak any excess water. Once it is dry, the masterpiece is complete.
