TEXARKANA, Ark.:  When it came to juggling everything from clubs, swords and bowling pins to fan and fire dancing, a group of more then 20 Texarkana residents gathered Sunday to form a new art club.

Bobby Ferguson Park became a collection point for these jugglers, dancers and other lovers of free flowing movement in the practice of their art.

"Right now, we are just trying to get everyone involved one way or the other in flowing artistry, to just get together and meet each other," said Lace Davis, co-host for the Flow Artist Unite social event. "Its called Flow Artistry because it actually allows people to just go with flow of who they are."

Prior to Sunday, Davis said local flow artists really had no club or organization - adding that she hope the three-hour the community event could be the starting point for a local association.

Colton Foltz, a local resident and one of the group's organizers, said that the art form grew out of the Martial Arts.

"We have a pretty even mix of both men and women involved in Flow Artistry and the people in it typically range from 25 to 30 years old. But there are also kids involved in it to and there can also be older adults."

Foltz added there's plans for another gathering event in November - one which will focus on yoga, meditation, energy and healing.
