In Our View/Spoiled Brats: Restaurant patrons threaten owner, staff over mask requirement

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has reversed the state's mask mandate. It takes effect Wednesday.
But apparently that's not soon enough for some folks.
The new rules allow restaurants to operate at full capacity and no longer require face masks to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Owners of private businesses are still allowed to require masks if they want.
The owner of a Mexican restaurant, Cantina Barba in Houston, is keeping the mask rule. And a few patrons went wild.
According to the Washington Post, customers have insulted and berated the staff and even threatened to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement over the mask requirement.
And that's before the new rules have even gone into effect.
Let's be clear. Business owners can require masks in their establishment or not. That's their decision. The new rules don't have any impact on that.
You can comply or stay away. That's your choice.
But don't act like a spoiled brat if you don't get your way.
