CHEERS: To Father Douglas Anderson of St James Episcopal Church Texarkana. After serving the church for 15 years as well as serving on the boards of St James Day School and Randy Sams Outreach Shelter he has accepted the call to be the rector of The Church of the Advent in Boston Massachusetts. Founded in 1844, it is the second largest church in that diocese. His last Sunday at St James will be January 12. Father Doug's keen intellect, caring spirit, sound theology, and leadership will be greatly missed. We are all grateful for the time you spent with us. Texarkana's loss is Boston's gain. Well done good and faithful servant. — L.O., Texarkana, Texas
JEERS: Who in their right mind, having cancer, that is slowly but progressively killing them, would refuse surgery that would permanently remove the cancer, because there is always a possibility that another cancer could develop? Those demonstrating across America, because Trump removed the "cancer" — Soleimani — are not only similarly mentally deficient, but morally also. Where was their outrage, their protests, when, for years, Soleimani led his fellow terrorista as they murdered and maimed their fellow Americans? — D.H.M., Texarkana, Arkansas
