Texarkana Twins release schedule for upcoming season

TEXARKANA, Texas - With a new head coach, many fresh faces and a schedule being recently released, the Texarkana Twins are eager to take on their fourth season in the Texas Collegiate League.

Opening with a two-game homestand on May 28 at George Dobson Field at Spring Lake Park, the Twins will host the Victoria Generals, who handed them their first loss of the season last year.

The Twins will then take a break before their first road series of the season, which will begin on June 1 against the Acadiana Cane Cutters. Returning home on June 3 to kickoff a four-game series, Texarkana hosts the 2019 TCL champions Brazos Valley Bombers, with the final two games being played on the Bombers home turf.

Texarkana will then host the Cane Cutters at home, hit the road to Victoria and then back home to play host to the Baton Rouge Rougarou on June 25. The Rougarou opened their inaugural season last year with two straight losses in Texarkana.

The TCL will take its annual All-Star break mid-season in Acadiana to showcase the top players from the league and celebrate with games and activities July 4-7.

The Twins' final homestand will be a two-game series at home against the Cane Cutters on July 28-29. They will then close out the regular season in Victoria on July 31. 

Postseason play are scheduled to begin on August 2, with a best-of-three series. After three days of playoffs, the TCL Championship will be decided in one game on Aug. 6.
