De QUEEN, Ark. - The UA-Cossatot Colts won their game on Saturday, January 18 against IJN Prep, 72-57. The Lady Colts also beat East Texas Baptist's JV on Monday, 82-54.
Marion McFadden and Dee Williams both scored 15 points each in the Colts victory over IJN Prep. Ladrakkus Thomas 14 points and Keldrick Sheard added nine points. Jamarta Gilliam scored eight points and Tre Hill contributed seven points.
The Lady Colts game was led by leading scorer Amber Witherspoon. She scored 24 points throughout the game. Mackenzie Cardenas scored 18, Chelsea Green scored 14, and Kyaira Jackson and Jasmine Ellison had 10 points each.
"The Colts are 10-7 and the Lady Colts are 8-6 for the season," head basketball coach Brad Phillips said. "We have had more wins than losses and I am proud of their hard work."
